Representative Baxley Learns About Scorpion Performance’s Growth and Success

Ocala, FL – Representative Dennis K. Baxley (R) of the Florida House of Representatives, 24th District, visited the new Scorpion Performance facility in Ocala, FL today. Baxley, who is the chairman of the Education Council and member of the Education Appropriations Committee, met with Scorpion’s Vice President of Marketing, Scott Reynolds, to learn how the company uses innovation and technology to grow and succeed in the high performance automotive engine aftermarket parts industry.

Scorpion prides itself on using the latest automation technology machines and robots to produce high precision products from aluminum, steel and titanium. Products are also anodized and laser engraved at the Scorpion facility so that the entire manufacturing-to-shipping procedure stays under one roof. After touring the factory and seeing Scorpion’s manufacturing process in action, Baxley stated, "I’m very happy to welcome a company that utilizes such modern technology and innovation to Marion County."

Reynolds remarked, "Scorpion is successful because we produce precision parts and devices that are far superior in quality to anything else on the market, especially products made overseas, and we sell our products at very competitive prices. Plus, our customers really appreciate that fact that they can still buy products that are made in America."

Founded in 1999 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Scorpion Performance relocated its manufacturing facility to Ocala in March 2011. The complex currently consists of three buildings totaling over 95,000 square feet on 23 acres of land. Two more buildings are slated for construction, one for manufacturing medical devices and another for manufacturing more automotive engine parts.
